Pensions rise, but half of pensioners do not reach 1,000 euros
In Spain there are 10.29 million pensioners, of which 5.05 million charge a pension of up to 1,000 euros, equivalent to 49.07% of the total. Likewise, the number of people receiving up to the previous interprofessional minimum salary of 1,134 euros – value that has recently risen to 1,184 euros – amounts to 5.8 million, representing 57.09%. Now, these percentages vary depending on the type of regime that has been quoted to Social Security. For example, in the general regime, only 42.36% receive a pension of less than 1,000 euros, a percentage that further falls in the mining and coal regime, where the percentage is 11.91% ( 6,884 pensioners). On the other hand, in the regime of the Autonomous (RETA), 71.39% of the beneficiaries charge a pension less than 1,000 euros.
Big regimes and pension classes are observed with respect to said percentage. For example, in the case of retirement, only 31.54% (1.5 million) reaches a pension of 1,000 euros; This figure descends even more in the mining and coal regime, standing at 3.28% (only 1,112 pensioners). In contrast, in the autonomous regime this percentage rises to 62.31% (839,210 pensioners).
By autonomous communities
If we analyze the map of Spain, the autonomous communities where a higher percentage of pensioners charges less than 1,000 euros are Galicia (60.24%), Extremadura (59.85%) and Andalusia (57.38%). On the contrary, communities with the lowest percentage of pensioners in this situation are Basque Country (33.39%), Madrid (38.89%) and Navarra (38.26%), where pensions are usually higher due to better Higher prior contribution bases and salaries.

Of that set, 530,347 (53.0%) receive a pension of less than 1,000 euros.
