There are many young people who surprise with their talent that at a young age manage to amass fortunes of their own. entrepreneurs with decades of experience. This is the case of Zach Yadagari, an 18-year-old American student, who has become a reference in the digital world thanks to a calorie counting application that, as he himself has admitted, has a turnover of “around 1.4 million dollars a month”, about 1.22 million euros.

As he explained on CNBC, it all started during the pandemic, when he was still in high school. He decided to create a simple app to control what he ate and help other young people improve their eating habits. Without previous experience in the business world, but with many hours of self-taught programming, he fine-tuned the product until it became an intuitive, accessible and useful tool for any user.

The app, which combines free features with a paid subscription for advanced options such as personalized plans, routines and nutritional advice, soon went viral thanks to word of mouth and a boost from social media. Its success is based on the fact that “Anyone can use it without complications” and the young man feels proud and confesses that “many tell me that they can finally control their diet and feel better about themselves. That, more than money, is what motivates me,” he says.

A success that allowed him to buy a Lamborghini at 18

Financial success has allowed him to fulfill one of his dreams: buying a Lamborghini. “Being 18 years old and having a Lamborghini honestly feels incredible,” he says with a mixture of pride and amazement. Although some consider it an impulsive expense, Yadagari sees it as a symbolic reward for hard work. “Some will say it’s irresponsible to buy it at my age, but it was always something I dreamed of and will only have diminishing returns as I get older,” he acknowledges.

In addition, he has bought a Tesla with which he goes to school every morning, another symbol of his meteoric rise and the new possibilities offered by the digital economy.

“Any idea, no matter how small it may seem, can change your life”

Despite his young age, Zach already leads a small team of developers and manages agreements with international investors who see in his application a platform with the potential to grow even more. However, his daily life is still marked by normality: he goes to class, holds remote meetings and dedicates a good part of his free time to improving the app and responding to user comments. “Every week a new challenge arises, something to learn, and the important thing is to continue listening to the people who use the application,” he explains.

Zach, who has become a reference for young entrepreneurs and technology fans, insists that anyone can take the leap: “I always say that any idea, no matter how small it may seem, can change your life… and the lives of millions of others. You just have to dare to take the first step.”

For now, their goal is to continue learning, grow the application and demonstrate that the digital future can also be built from passion and honesty. “Sometimes I think that this is not happening to an 18-year-old boy, but to anyone who dares to start,” he concludes.
