Mercadonathe Valencian company Juan Roighas carried out a revaluation of 8.5% in the salaries, extras and bonuses of all its workers by 2025. Thus, the more than 100,000 employees of the supermarket chain will see their payrolls increase as of January 1, 2025. With this adjustment, the Gross salary will be between 632.55 euros and 2,280 eurosdepending on seniority and whether the work is full-time or part-time.
Until now, Mercadona’s gross salaries ranged between 583 euros and 2,102.22 euros per month. These are regulated by their collective agreement, which is published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). Every year, the Valencian supermarket chain carries out a revaluation of salaries which, although initially it should be adjusted to the CPI, in recent years it has been higher than this index, with the chain’s objective of ensuring that its workers do not lose purchasing power.

The salaries of Mercadona employees, after the 8.5% revaluation, will range between 632.55 euros and 2,280 euros per month gross, depending on work hours and seniority. Updated salaries for full-time and part-time contracts are detailed below.
Full time
Workers with a full-time contract (40 hours per week) will receive a salary of between 1,686 euros and 2,280 euros per month gross, according to their seniority. This salary is paid in 12 payments (with extra payments prorated) and may include an additional bonus for objectives.
These are the updated salaries for full-time employees, according to their seniority:
- 1,686 euros (approximately 1,470 euros net): employees with less than a year in the company.
- 1,851 euros (approximately 1,546 euros net): employees with two years of seniority.
- 2,054 euros (approximately 1,566 euros net): employees with three years of seniority.
- 2,280 euros (approximately 1,830 euros net): employees with more than four years of seniority.
Part time
Workers with part-time contracts will also see their salaries increased. Salaries will depend on the hours worked and whether the contract includes weekends. Below are the updated salaries:
- 15 hours per week from Monday to Thursday: 632.55 euros per month gross.
- 20 hours per week from Monday to Saturday: 842.95 euros per month gross.
- 15 hours per week (Friday, Saturday and Monday): 842.95 euros per month gross.
With this salary increase, Mercadona seeks to guarantee that its staff does not lose purchasing power due to the increase in the cost of living. Furthermore, in the case of basic personnel (such as cashiers or stockers), their initial salary will be 27% higher than the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (SMI) in Spain, reaching 72% more after exceeding four years in the company.
