A new research of Bank of America projects that the global quantum computing market, valued at about 300 million dollars in 2024, could be fired until reaching 4,000 million by 2030.
Although today specialized companies invoice less than 100 million, many technological giants already operate in this field: IBM, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon and Intel actively participate in quantum development.
The report identifies six key technological approaches – superconductors, trapped ions, photonic, neutral atoms, topology and spin – each with their own advantages and challenges.
Critical challenges are also underlined: scalability, error correction and technological maturity. Once overcome, the commercial income turning point could transform it into a global strategic platform.
