The SEPE launches an aid of 570 euros per month for people over 30 years old with few income

The Public State Employment Service (SEPE) has activated a new benefit designed for unemployment people who are between 30 and 55 years old and have already finished their contributory unemployment. This help has been in force since last April 2025 and intends to facilitate reinstatement to the work of those with low resources and no longer have unemployment benefit.

The main requirement is that the applicant has monthly income below 810 euros, that is, 75 % of the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI). With this measure, try to relieve the economic burden of an especially vulnerable group, while simplifying administrative procedures: it is not necessary to present a family income statement or comply with a waiting period.

Beneficiaries of the new help of the SEPE

These are the main conditions to enjoy the new benefit for people over 30 years of age granted by SEPE:

  • Be between 30 and 55 years of age at the time the application is formalized.
  • Do not be able to request the contributory benefit for unemployment or have exhausted it in its entirety.
  • Receive less than 810 euros per month, the equivalent of 75 % of the current SMI.
  • Be registered as a applicant for active employment and signed the active job search declaration.
  • Have a minimum of 15 years quoted to Social Security, including at least two years within the last fifteen.
  • Request the benefit within six months after the completion of unemployment.

If any of the above requirements are met, the SEPE will be able to deny the subsidy, being definitively rejected, that is, without claim.

Amount of the benefit: it depends on the time

This help does not entail a fixed amount of money, but follows a progressive scheme designed to foster return to employment. As the months take place, the aid is reduced.

During the first six months, the amount amounts to 570 euros. Subsequently, between the seventh and the twelfth month, the amount drops to 540 euros. From the thirteen month, the subsidy is set at 480 euros. This means that taking advantage of the first months to return to the labor market can be a greater economic benefit, since it is the period in which the highest figure is perceived.

How to request help for over 30 of the SEPE

As for the application, it can be done both in person and online. If the online route is chosen, it is necessary to access the electronic headquarters of the SEPE, complete the digital form and attach the required documentation. Before sending the application, it should be reviewed that all the information is correct to avoid delays.

If the face -to -face procedure is preferred, you must first make previous appointment through the SEPE website or by phone. Then, go to the office with all documents: ID, Certificate of Work Life, Income Accreditation and the Signed Employment Search Declaration. Reviewing that there are no errors is essential, since any mistake can extend the process for weeks. In addition, if the benefit admits extension, it will be the responsibility of the beneficiary to initiate the procedure at the right time, although the SEPE usually sends a reminder.
