The Ministry of Finance has published this Saturday, May 2, 2026, the new price of tobacco for the different brands of cigars, cigarillos and pipe bites. It has done so through the Resolution of April 30, 2026, of the Presidency of the Commissioner for the Tobacco Market, which includes the public sale prices in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands and which can be consulted in this Official State Gazette (BOE).
This update does not affect all brands nor does it necessarily imply general increases. The changes apply only to certain products, either to increase or reduce their cost, while the rest remain unchanged.
These changes, as stated in the BOE, come into force from this Saturday, May 2, in all tobacco shops on the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, this time affecting only 9 brands (some more than last week).
New price of tobacco from May 2
As of this Saturday, May 2, these are the changes in the retail prices (RPP) of tobacco products in Tobacco and Stamp Stores in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, not applying to Ceuta, Melilla and the Canary Islands.
