The average price of light for this Tuesday, September 16, 2025, is 86.01 euros per megavatio hour (MW/h). Compared to the cost registered on Tuesday, it represents an increase of 18.55%, that is, 13.46 euros more. It should be remembered that on the previous day the rate was at 72.55 euros per MWh.
If the evolution is observed with respect to the same day last year, the data of the Iberian energy market (OMIE) reflects that the light is today 60.31 euros more expensive, since then the price was 25.70 euros per MWh. This amount, like the current one, does not include tolls or taxes, figures that Red Eléctrica communicates at the close of the day.

When will the light be cheaper on Tuesday?
The lowest price of the day will be reached in the afternoon between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a minimum cost of € 15.10/MWh. The stripes also highlight from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (€ 16.40/MWh) and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (€ 19.57/MWh). Another hour to consider is from 12:00 to 13:00, with € 19.68/MWh. These are the best stripes to concentrate the greatest electrical consumption and reduce the invoice.
When will electricity be more expensive?
The most expensive section of the day will take place between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when the price will reach € 215.00/MWh. Next, the highest prices will be recorded from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (€ 150.00/MWh), between 07:00 and 08:00 hours (€ 118.56/MWh), from 08:00 to 09:00 hours (€ 112.08/MWh) and in the strip from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (€ 111.76/MWh). These peaks coincide with the hours of greater demand, especially during the afternoon and night.
