The average price of electricity in Spain for this Saturday, September 6, 2025, will be 26.54 euros/MWh (euros the megavatio hour). Compared to this Friday, when the wholesale market marked 55.32 euros, it is a decrease of 52.03%, which is equivalent to 28.78 euros less, according to the data of the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
If we compare it with the same date last year, when the light reached 86.72 euros/MWh, the decrease is even greater: 69.40% less, that is, 60.18 euros apart. It should be remembered that this price affects the consumers hosted by the regulated rate (PVPC) or with an indexed contract in the free market, although it is not the final figure. They still have to apply tolls, charges and other taxes, which will be provided by Red Electrica at the close of the day.

When is light cheaper this Saturday, September 6?
Electricity will mark its lowest price between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., when it will be at -0.99 euros/MWh. It clarifies that this does not mean that it is free, but that in that time section the wholesale market reflects a negative price.
In addition, the stripes between 12:00 and 18:00 will remain at practically null levels, with values between -0.02 and 0 euros/MWh. Therefore, the central hours of the day will be the most recommended to program the consumption of appliances such as the washing machine, the oven or the dishwasher.
What time is electricity more on Saturday?
On the contrary, the highest price will be registered at dawn, between 00:00 and 01:00 hours, with a cost of 74.64 euros/MWh. After this, the following peaks will occur between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when it will reach 58.54 euros/MWh, and between 10:00 p.m. and 23:00, with 55.44 euros/MWh.

This Saturday a strong difference between the central hours of the day and the night strip will be observed, that is, during noon, especially between 12:00 and 6:00 p.m., prices will be practically null or even negative, with values that will be located at -0.99 €/MWh.
