The average price of light for this Thursday, September 4, 2025, will be 55.65 euros per megavatio hour (MW/h) within the wholesale market. With this, the electric rate rises, but barely 55 cents, 1.00%, if we compare it with the price recorded on Wednesday that set at 55.10 euros/MWH, according to the data of the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
In the case of comparing it in annual terms, we can say that now electricity is 41.67% cheaper, since that day had a price of 95.41 euros. It should be clarified that this price, which affects consumers with regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed within the free market does not include tolls or other taxes. The final price is released at the last minute Red Eléctrica.

What time is the light cheaper this Thursday, September 4?
The cheapest time of light will be recorded between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., when the price will fall to € 1.55/MWh. After this, they are followed by other very economical sections at noon, such as from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (€ 1.60/MWh) and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (€ 1.72/MWh).
In general, the lowest prices are concentrated from 11:00 to 17:00, a period in which the cost barely exceeds € 7/MWh in several hours.
When is electricity more expensive?
The maximum electricity price will be reached between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with a value of € 112.99/MWh. There will also be other expensive sections late in the afternoon and night, about 20:00 to 21:00 (€ 102.50/MWh) and from 22:00 to 23:00 (€ 100.45/MWh). Another prominent peak will take place early in the morning, from 07:00 to 08:00 hours (€ 103.55/MWh), coinciding with the start of the working day.
