The price of light tomorrow, September 26, for hours: when is cheaper and more expensive in the day

The average price of light for this Friday, September 26, 2025, is 91.65 euros per megavatio hour (MW/h). This represents a 15.43%rise, that is, 12.25 euros, if we compare it with the rate recorded this Thursday, since on that day the rate was in the 79.40 euros per MWh.

If we look at the evolution with exactly one year, the data of the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE) shows that today’s light is 67.47 euros more expensive, since this day the price of light was 24.18 euros per MWH. Now and as we always say, this price that affects consumers with regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed in the free market does not include tolls or taxes, since said data is given by the electricity network at the end of the day.

When is light cheaper this Friday?

The lowest electricity price will be registered between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a cost of 21.56 euros per MWH. The central hours of the day will be the cheapest, so it is recommended to perform in them all those tasks that imply greater energy use, such as putting the washing machine or using the oven.

When is electricity more expensive?

On the contrary, the highest price of light will be reached between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when the cost will rise to 72.5 euros/MWh. The most expensive stripes will be concentrated at night, especially between 7:00 p.m. and 24:00, with an average price of 59.60 euros/MWh. It is advisable to avoid the intensive use of electricity during this period to minimize spending.

The light becomes more expensive, but they will not be noticed so much in the central hours of the day and yes in the last hours of the day that will arrive to 160 euros. In addition, 13 schedules will be above 100 euros, as can be seen in the next light graph.
