The price of light tomorrow, Monday, October 6 for hours: when is cheaper and more in the day

The price of light in Spain for this Monday, October 6, 2025, will be 79.05 euros per megavatio hour (MWh). In this way, the week begins with a strong rise of 225.03% compared to the cost of Sunday’s electricity, when the average price was 24.31 euros/MWh. In addition, it becomes the lowest registered value so far in October, according to the data published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).

Compared to a year ago, now the light is 57.09 euros more expensive, since that day known as ‘pool’ was paid at 21.96 euros/MWh. As always, it should be remembered that this price corresponds to the wholesale market, that is, the one that affects consumers with regulated PVPC or indexed rate within the free market. To know the definitive price that consumers will pay, which does incorporate these costs, we will have to wait for it to be published by Red Electrica de España at the close of the day.

When is light cheaper on Monday?

The cheapest time of light will be concentrated early in the afternoon, between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., when the price will fall to 36.31 euros/MWh. After this, the most economical stripes will occur between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., with prices ranging between 41.44 and 43.78 euros/MWh, so they will be the best moments to put washing machines, dishwasher or load the electric car.

When is electricity more expensive?

On the contrary, the highest price will be registered between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when it will reach 169.24 euros/MWh. The stripes will follow from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with 163.34 euros/MWh, and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with 137.64 euros/MWh.
