The average electricity price on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, rises to 154.78 euros/MWh for consumers with regulated or indexed rate in the free market. This is reflected in the data published by Red Electrica, which indicate that electricity is paid 5.12% more expensive than the Tuesday, whose price was 147.24 euros.
Keep in mind that these amounts refer to the voluntary price for the small consumer (PVPC), which are usually higher values than those published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE), which reflect the cost the wholesale market and that do not include concepts such as taxes and tolls.

The cheapest time of light is between 2:00 p.m. and 15:00 time, at which time it goes down to 60.59 euros. This one of the few tas of the day below the 100 euros barrier.
