The average power of electricity for this Saturday, August 2, 2025, is € 138.06/MWh for consumers with regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Electric. It is the third consecutive decrease of the week, with a decrease of 16.76% Regarding the price recorded on Friday. To the pocket, this translates into about 27.81 euros cheaper.

At all times we must keep in mind that this amount corresponds to the voluntary price for the small consumer (PVPC), which is different to the one offered by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE). The latter refers to the average price within the wholesale market.

For its part, the PVPC, which is the one that affects consumers with regulated or indexed rate, includes charges such as access tolls, system charges or electrical system adjustment costs. Therefore, it is usually more expensive.

What time is the light cheaper today Saturday, August 2?

The cheapest time of light will take place from 14 to 15 hours, at a price of 55.37 euros/MWh. It will be towards the end of the morning and at noon when the cheapest stripes of the conference are concentrated, which will be below 60 euros/MWh.

When is electricity more expensive?

The maximum electricity peak will be recorded from 22 to 23 hours, when 160.79 euros/MWh will be reached. The most expensive hours of light will be given at two different times on Saturday: in the early hours of the morning and towards the end of the afternoon, when the 150 euros/MWh will even be exceeded.
