The price of fuels in Spain continues to go down and arrives at the bridge on August 15 at minimum levels of the entire summer. Thus and as published today by the European Union Petroleum Bulletin, the liter of diesel is at 1,423 euros, after reducing 0.63% compared to the previous week, while the 95 octane no lead gasoline (Super 95) the liter is sold to 1,483 euros after falling 0.2%. Both records are the lowest since mid and late June, respectively.

This descent arrives at one of the best moments of the years, where the operation starts for the bridge of August 15, 2025, one of the most intense traffic operations of the year. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) foresees more than seven million road displacements between this Thursday and Sunday. For many drivers, the drop in prices will involve economic relief in a context of high fuel consumption.
Savings in the filling of the deposit
With updated prices, for this week filling an average deposit of 55 liters of diesel costs 78.26 euros, which represents 1.98 euros less than in the same period last year, when it was at 80.24 euros. In the case of gasoline vehicles, filling the same 55 -liter deposit has an average price of 81.56 euros, a saving of 5.9 euros compared to the 87.45 euros it cost in August 2024.
If we look at the data throughout the year, we can see that so far from 2025, the accumulated reduction is 2.75% for gasoline and 1.4% for diesel. That is to say, that both fuels maintain prices lower than those registered before the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, on February 24, 2022, when gasoline stood at 1,591 euros per liter and diesel at 1,479 euros. The contrast is even greater with the maximums reached in July 2022, when gasoline reached 2,141 euros and diesel at 2.1 euros.
The cheapest gas stations in Spain
Although this is the average national price, it should be remembered that it may several depending on the province or the service station in which the refueling is carried out. The Ministry of Industry and Public Tourism daily at its electronic headquarters, in the section “Price of fuels in Spanish gas stations”, the updated information of the sales prices at each point of supply of the country.
The cheapest gas station recorded this week is located in Maliaño (Cantabria), at the Ballenoil Station, where the liter of 95 no lead gasoline is sold to 1,219 euros. This same price is available in other nearby locations, such as Camargo and Santander, in Plenergy and Petroprix stations.
In Seville, the most economical option corresponds to the Alcampo SA station, located on Ronda del Tamarguillo street, where the fuel is offered to 1,239 euros per liter. Finally, in the province of Valencia, the Plenergy Station of La Pobla de Vallbona stands out, which markets without lead 95 to 1,245 euros per liter.
On the other hand, the cheapest service station to put Diesel is found both in Córdoba and Murcia Capital, where the Cotranco Station (Simón Carpintero Street, 24) and the UTE station of Murcia (Bolos Street, 4) offer the liter of diesel to 0.999 euros.
In the city of Cartagena (Murcia), the Service Station located on Marín Trovero Avenue, 3 markets diesel at 1,084 euros per liter, while in the province of Tarragona, the Cecatrans Transport & Logistics station in L’Arboç (Motors Street, 1) offers this fuel to 1,123 euros.
European evolution and context
Spain currently maintains a favorable differential with respect to the community average. 95 -folded gasoline costs 1,618 euros per liter in EU as a whole and 1,667 euros in the Eurozone. In diesel, the stockings are 1,540 euros and 1,567 euros, respectively, which places Spain several cents below both references.
The price of diesel has been 128 consecutive weeks below that of gasoline, a usual pattern before the energy crisis caused by the Ukraine War. Between August 2022 and mid -February 2023, that dynamic was invested, and diesel became more expensive due to supply tensions and high demand.
