The price of gasoline drops by 0.5% and diesel costs less than 1 euro at these gas stations

The average price of fuel at Spanish service stations has fallen, breaking a three-week streak of increases. The latest inflation data (the Consumer Price Index published by the INE) already predicted this Wednesday that both diesel and gasoline were going to be found at a more expensive price at gas station pumps.

The Petroleum Bulletin of the European Union (EU) has released new data that places the average price of diesel at 1,404 euros this week, with a decrease of 0.56% compared to the previous. The average price of gasoline this week has also fallen by 0.54%, falling to 1.473 euros, marking the lowest since the third week of June.

Even so and despite this, there are gas stations where diesel costs less than 1 euro, specifically 0.980 euros per liter. With these data, it can be stated that so far in 2025, gasoline has become 3.4% cheaper compared to 2024, while the price of diesel has also decreased by 2.7% so far this year.

How much does it cost to fill the car tank?

With current prices, filling a 55-liter tank of diesel costs 77.22 euros, about 1.1 euros more than on the same date last year when it cost 76.12 euros.

On the other hand, when talking about gasoline vehicles, filling the average tank currently costs about 81.01 euros, 1.2 euros less than in 2024 when it was paid at 82.2 euros.

The average for diesel is still below the levels it was at before the war in Ukraine, when it cost 1,479 euros per liter. Gasoline, for its part, continues to be below the price of 1,591 euros/liter that it had at that time.

Fuels are still quite far from reaching the maximum price they registered during the summer of 2022 when gasoline cost 2,141 euros and diesel 2.1 euros. This week, diesel is now 137 below the price of gasoline, maintaining the trend it had before the Russian invasion.

It must be taken into account that to set the price of gasoline, many factors are taken into account, such as the specific price that is independent of that of oil, the evolution of crude oil, taxes or the cost of raw materials as well as logistics (transport, for example) or gross margins.

Where is it cheaper to refuel with diesel this week?

The cheapest price for diesel this week is once again at the Cotranco gas station in Córdoba (24 Simón Carpintero street), where you pay 0.980 euros per liter. It is followed by station 686 TLP of the Trápaga Valley – Trapagaran in Vizcaya where it costs 1,006 euros and a little more expensive, at 0.018 euros per liter of diesel, it is in Murcia, on Calle Bolos number 4 in the UTE bus station.

Where is the cheapest gasoline this week

The cheapest service stations to fill with gasoline this week are located in Autacor in Córdoba, on Avenida del Zafiro number 3 where it costs 1,250 euros per liter of gasoline, followed by the one also located in Córdoba but on Avenida Libia number 4 of the Ballenoil brand. This same sign has the next cheapest one, in La Carlota (14 Engineering Street) where you pay 1,259 euros.

Gasoline prices in Spain compared to the European average

Gasoline and diesel prices in Spain continue to be below the European average. The cost of unleaded gasoline in the EU is 1.623 euros per liter and in the eurozone it is paid at 1.671 euros.

In the case of diesel, the price in Spain is lower than the EU average, which is 1,530 euros, and the euro zone average, where the cost is 1,557 euros.
