The price of gasoline in Spain has fallen again, for the fifth consecutive week, and that of diesel is also cheaper, in this case, its third week without increasing. Both fuels are set at minimums, a cost that has not appeared since June.
The average price of a liter of diesel stands at 1.394 euros this week, showing a drop of 0.14% when compared to the data from last week and remaining below 1.4 euros, as published by the EU Oil Bulletin (European Union) collected by Europa Press.

The average price of a liter of gasoline has also decreased in this case by 0.13% when compared to that of the previous week, standing at 1.464 euros, also the lowest since mid-June.
With these prices, so far in 2025, gasoline is 4% cheaper than in 2024 and diesel joins this trend, with 3.4% less this year.
Filling the diesel tank costs 76.67 euros
Filling the average 55-liter tank of diesel at a service station costs 76.67 euros on average, 6 cents more than on the same date last year, when the cost was 76.61 euros.
In the case of gasoline vehicles, filling the average tank costs 80.52 euros, 2.36 euros less than a year ago, when the price exceeded 82.88 euros. The average price of diesel remains below the levels before the war in Ukraine began, on February 24, 2022. At that time, it was paid at 1,479 euros per liter.
Gasoline is still below the price of 1,591 euros per liter that it had at that time. The two fuels remain far from the ceiling that marked the summer of 2022, specifically the month of July when gasoline exceeded 2 euros (2,141 euros) and diesel 2.1 euros.
Diesel is now 139 weeks below the price of gasoline, which was normal before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At that time, it began to rise, becoming more expensive than gasoline and in February 2023 was when the trend changed.
It must be taken into account that the price paid for gasoline and diesel depends on many factors such as the specific price, which is independent of that of oil, the evolution of crude oil, taxes, the cost of raw materials, logistics and gross margins. Regarding the evolution in the price of crude oil, it is not transferred to the price of fuel immediately but rather through a temporary delay.
Where to refuel the cheapest diesel this week
We found the cheapest price for diesel (diesel A) this week at the Cotranco gas station, located at 24 Simón Carpintero Street in Córdoba, where you pay 0.960 euros per liter. Then, in Murcia (Calle Bolos, 4) there is the UTE where it costs 1,018 and at the Cartagena Bus Station, refueling with diesel costs 1,074 euros per liter.
Where is the cheapest gasoline this week
To refuel with gasoline at the lowest price you will have to go to Alicante, specifically to the town of Benissa (Rosello gas station, at Margenadors Dels street, 8), where a liter costs 1,227 euros. Then, in Córdoba, on Avenida del Zafiro number 2 where 95 gasoline is sold for 1,245 euros (Autacor). Thirdly, also in Córdoba, you can refuel for 1,245 euros per liter at Ballenoil (Avenida del Zafiro, number 2).
Filling with gasoline and diesel in Spain is cheaper than the European average
The price of 95 unleaded gasoline in Spain remains below the European Union average, which is 1.321 euros per liter, and the Euro zone average, which is 1.667 euros.
For diesel, the average price in Spain is also lower than the EU average, which is 1,529 euros, and the euro zone average, where it is 1,555 euros per liter.
