The average electricity price for this Wednesday, November 12, 2025, is 27.28 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) in the wholesale market. In this way, electricity falls by 59.19%, compared to the price recorded this Tuesday, which stood at 66.88 euros/MWh, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE).
The increase affects those who have a regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed rate, since the price changes according to the wholesale market price. This price does not include tolls or taxes, so the final price is published by Red Eléctrica de España every day, around 8:30 p.m.

When is electricity cheaper this Wednesday, November 12?
The most economical part of the day will be between 11:00 and 12:00, when the price of electricity will fall to 0 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), although this does not mean that it will be free, since as we explained it does not carry taxes or tolls. Very low values will also be recorded between 10:00 and 15:00, with an average cost of about 1.47 euros/MWh, making them the most recommended time periods to concentrate electricity consumption.
When is electricity most expensive?
The highest price of the day will be reached between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., when the electricity will rise to 71.57 euros/MWh. It will be followed by the sections from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (€63.5/MWh) and from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (€65.66/MWh), which will also register high amounts. During those peak hours, it is advisable to avoid the use of large appliances to reduce the cost on the bill.

For this Wednesday, the cheapest hours will be in part of the morning and afternoon, between 10:00 and 16:00, sections where the price per hour will not exceed 3.30 euros. On the other hand, starting at 5:00 p.m., the price skyrockets, reaching 71.57 euros, so it is advisable to avoid consuming energy in the last hours of the day.

Evolution of the price of electricity
Electricity continues to be cheaper than in November of last year. So far this month, the average wholesale market price is around €52.41/MWh, compared to €96.76/MWh registered in the same period of 2024.
The year-on-year drop continues, although with less intensity than in previous days. The average price on November 12, 2024 was 77.91 euros/MWh, which is 36.42 euros less compared to this year.
