The price of electricity in Spain for this Sunday, October 12, 2025 drops again, although slightly, reaching an average of 64.63 euros per megawatt hour (euros/MWh) according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This marks a drop of 14.04% which translates into 9.09 euros less for the pocket than in the Saturday day when the price was 73.70 euros.
If compared with the electricity price on October 12 of last yearit can be seen that that day it was 8.09% more expensive since it cost 69.86 euros/MWh. It is important to keep in mind that this price refers to the values at which electricity is paid in the wholesale market.

The data for consumers who have a regulated or indexed rate in the free market will be known at the end of the afternoon when Red Eléctrica publishes the data on the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC).
When is electricity cheaper this Sunday
The cheapest hour of electricity will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. when you will pay 0.65 euros, although there will be other times of the day when you can save on the bill. These are the ones that run from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. when you will pay 1.04 euros and the one from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. which will cost 1.29 euros/MWh.
When is electricity most expensive?
The highest price of electricity will be from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. when it will be paid at 115.14 euros. In addition, you have to be careful in the periods from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (115.12 euros) and from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (113.64 euros) since misuse of electricity could make the bill more expensive at the end of the month.
