The average price of electricity for this Saturday, November 22, 2025, is 59.07 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) in the wholesale market. In this way, electricity drops again by 1.78%, since the price of electricity for this Friday was 60.14 euros/MWh, according to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE).

When is electricity cheaper?

The most economical part of the day will be between 11:00 and 12:00, when the price of electricity will drop to 0.53 euros/MWh. Very close is the period from 12:00 to 14:00, where the price will be €0.65/MWh and from 14:00 to 15:00 at 0.79 euros. That is, the central sections of the day will be the cheapest and where we should consume the most.

When is electricity most expensive?

The most expensive price will be between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., when the electricity will rise to 102.83 euros/MWh. Also avoid the slots located at the end of the day, for example from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (€98.85/MWh) and from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (€92.17/MWh), which will also register very high amounts.

Price of electricity per hour

According to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator for this Tuesday, the price of electricity will fluctuate, with the best times being the time slots between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. On the contrary, we must avoid the sections located between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., as shown in the following graph.

Evolution of the price of electricity

The price of electricity continues below the levels of a year ago. The current average of the wholesale market is 56.24 euros per megawatt hour, far from the 103.77 euros in November 2024.

Although the year-on-year decrease continues, it does so with less intensity, since on November 22, 2024 the cost was 119.52 euros, that is, 60.45 euros more expensive than the current reference. Below you can see the evolution of the first 22 days of the month.
