The average price of electricity for this Wednesday, October 15, 2025, rises to 167.29 euros/MWh for consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. This means that electricity is paid 7.58% more expensive than this Tuesday, in which the price was 155.51 euros.
It must be taken into account that this amount refers to what is known as the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), an amount that differs from that published by the Operator of the Iberian Energy Market (OMIE) which reflects prices in the wholesale market. The difference between the two is that the PVPC is usually higher because it includes additional concepts such as taxes and tolls.
