The price of electricity today, Tuesday, October 14, 2025: the cheapest and most expensive hours within the PVPC

The average price of electricity for this Tuesday, October 14, 2025, is €155.51/MWh for consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. Taking into account that this Monday the electricity rate was at 165.34 euros/MWh, we can say that the bill drops by 5.94%, about 9.83 euros.

In any case, it is worth remembering that this value corresponds to the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), different from the one published at noon by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), which reflects the average cost of electricity in the wholesale market.

The main difference between the two is that the PVPC, applicable to consumers with a regulated or indexed tariff, incorporates in its calculation elements such as access tolls, system charges and electrical system adjustment costs. For this reason, its final amount is usually higher.

What time is electricity cheaper this Tuesday, October 14?

The cheapest hour of electricity will be recorded between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a price of 102.46 euros/MWh. Although no range is reached below 100 euros, the lowest rates are concentrated during the early afternoon and early morning hours, especially between 02:00 and 05:00, when the cost remains below 130 euros/MWh.

When is electricity most expensive?

The maximum price of the day will be reached between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with a cost of 277.50 euros/MWh. The most expensive periods of the day will be concentrated in the nighttime segment, between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., as well as early in the morning, when increases in the price of electricity are also recorded.
