The average price of electricity rises to 137.52 euros/MWh this Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for consumers with a regulated or indexed tariff contracted on the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. This means that electricity is paid 9.34% more expensive than this Monday when its price was 125.77 euros, that is, 11.75 euros more.

These amounts reflect the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), an amount greater than that published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE) for the wholesale market, since it includes other concepts such as taxes and tolls.

The cheapest hour of electricity will be from 00:00 to 01:00, with a price of 72.71 euros/MWh. As is customary during the week, the cheapest hours are concentrated in the early morning, until 8:00 a.m. in the morning.
