The average price of electricity for this Thursday, October 9, 2025 is 153.30 euros per megawatt hour (euros/MWh) for consumers with a regulated or indexed rate in the free market according to the data published by Red Eléctrica. In this way, the light rises again regarding this Wednesday by 6.27% with a difference in pocket of 9.04 euros more since it cost 149.26 euros/MWh.
You should know that this is the amount of the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC), which is different from that published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This one from OMIE is published earlier, around two in the afternoon and indicates the average price in the wholesale market.

As usual, it will be in the afternoon – night time and there are other times to avoid such as the one from 19:00 to 20:00 when it will cost 249.68 euros/MWh or the one from 21:00 to 22:00 which will be paid at 237.66 euros.
