The average price of electricity for this Friday, March 20, 2026, rises to 146.14 euros/MWh for consumers with a regulated or indexed tariff in the free market, as can be seen from the data published by Red Eléctrica. These mean that electricity is paid 4.49% more expensive than this Thursday in which the price was 139.86 eurosthat is, a difference of 6.28 euros,

It should be remembered that these amounts refer to what is known as the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC). These quantities differ from those marked on the wholesale market, published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), in that they include other concepts such as taxes and tolls.

The cheapest hour of electricity is in the early morning between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., with a price of 79.26 euros, although you can also take advantage of some of the sections at more affordable prices between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The maximum peak of electricity, on the contrary, occurs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. when it reaches 280.96 euros/MWh, with the rest of the more expensive periods accumulating during the afternoon and night.
