The Official State Gazette (BOE) already includes the extension of the validity of the Moves III Plan aid for the purchase of electric vehicles, fuel cells and charging points until June 30, 2025. The text also includes the extension of the 15% deduction on the purchase of an electric vehicle until December 31, 2025.
The program, initially endowed with a budget of 400 million euros, will have a final allocation of 1,550 million eurosand will continue until June 30, 2025. This means that the autonomous communities will be able to continue processing applications from customers who intend to purchase a zero-emission vehicle.
How the Moves III Plan works
The acquisition of the ‘zero emissions’ vehicle may be through a direct purchase, or through financial operations, such as leasing, renting or linear financing. The vehicles eligible to receive this aid will be passenger cars, vans, electric motorcycles and electric quadricycles. The value of the vehicles may not exceed 45,000 euros without VAT.
The capital to be received will depend, first of all, on the type of vehicle purchased, and whether its purchase will be associated with the scrapping of a vehicle that must meet specific requirements, such as having a specific minimum age, being in the name of the beneficiary. of the help, or having the MOT up to date.
Vehicles do not always have to be new to be eligible for the subsidy, since from 2023 the Moves III Plan also extends to the purchase of zero-emission vehicles that are no more than 12 months old. All questions related to the Moves III Plan and its application can be consulted at this link.
Requirements change depending on the community
One of the fundamental aspects that must be taken into account when requesting the Moves III Plan is that each autonomous community manages it independently. Each region has its own funds and a series of particular requirements that it is advisable to consult before processing the application.
The most notable differences from one community to another are the way of requesting it, that is, whether the help is requested by the buyer or the dealer, and the requirement that the vehicle being purchased be in the same community in which the buyer is. registered Andalusia, for example, is one of the communities that has this requirement.
