The first Polish REIT fund will debut on the WSE Main Market

Mount Globalny Rynku Nieruchomości FIZ – this is the name of a Polish fund actively investing in REIT-type real estate, which on Monday, April 22, will become the 412th entity listed on the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Mount Globalny Rynku Nieruchomości FIZ is a closed-end investment fund focused on investments that provide exposure to the global real estate market – mainly shares of foreign companies with a REIT structure. The fund invests primarily in securities of issuers listed on Polish and foreign organized markets.

REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) originates from the USA, where it is very popular. It is a special type of fund, the purpose of which is to invest in real estate. These can be land, residential or service buildings, as well as the infrastructure located on them, which will then be rented or sold to customers.

Since 2017, the Fund has issued several dozen series of investment certificates that have been assimilated and registered under a common ISIN code.

“Through Mount Global Real Estate Market, we want to offer exposure to this asset class to a wide range of investors. In the fund’s strategy, we take advantage of strong trends in real estate markets,” the debutant wrote in a statement on Monday.

The approval of the Fund’s prospectus by the PFSA on 23 February this year, and thus its transformation into a public investment fund and the offering of certificates of subsequent issues through a public offering, will increase its possibilities in terms of attracting new investors. Additionally, the introduction of certificates to trading will enable participants to trade them and exit the investment in a manner other than by requesting the redemption of certificates or selling them in a transaction outside the regulated market.

As part of the public offering conducted on the basis of the approved prospectus, the issue of another 12 series of certificates is planned, of which the BV series has already been issued and covered by an application for admission (17 certificates taken up by two investors at a price of PLN 853.63).

Certificates offered in the public offering will be registered under the same ISIN code as previous issues (BV series certificates were covered by the KDPW declaration of 15 April this year). A total of 40,589 Fund investment certificates were introduced to stock exchange trading.
