The Community of Madrid chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso has presented the Renove Plan, which is a new aid of 300 euros for families who need to renew their appliances. This aims to achieve several things, to begin with, to help many Madrid households save, encourage local commerce and seek to save electricity by promoting energy efficiency.
This is not the first time that the Ayuso Community has sought to facilitate savings for its neighbors and has already launched a financial aid of 500 euros per month per child or the one makes it easier for people over 65 years of age to rent a house. Now, as it has already published on its website, an investment of 2 million euros will be allocated to improve the equipment of electrical appliances in many homes.

The deadline to request this aid of up to 300 euros ends on March 17, although this end could be brought forward when the funds run out. It was the Minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Interior, Carlos Novillo, who presented the subsidies.
He highlighted that, in the last call which was at the end of 2020, 14,982 appliances were replaced with an investment of 1.8 million euros, so this figure is expected to increase.
Amount of aid
The Renove Plan contemplates a maximum of 300 euros for refrigerators with class A, 200 euros for those in class B and 100 for class C. As for dishwashers, those in class A will have a limit of 200 euros and those in class B, 100 euros. For its part, the highest amount for the purchase of washing machines and induction hobs is 125 euros.
With this, the Government of Madrid hopes to subsidize more than 15,000 units, which will mean an average saving in the Community of 1,039 gigawatts. This amount of energy is what more than 3,000 families would consume in a year.
Requirements to request help of 300 euros for appliances
The requirements to change old appliances for more efficient ones in the Community of Madrid are not many. To begin with, the home where the installation of the new appliance and the removal of the old one takes place is located in a municipality in Madrid.
The second requirement is that the latter (the old one) be handed over to an authorized manager for treatment.
How to request help
Aid to renew appliances is already active and is managed by the Community of Madrid. To request them you must enter the website of the Energy Foundation of the Community of Madrid (Fenercom) and fill out the request registration.
Novillo pointed out during the presentation event that the procedures have been simplified so that families can start saving as soon as possible. Once this first step has been completed, a period of 15 days is activated, which is the time in which the purchase must be made.
All the businesses that have signed up to the program appear on that same website. The aid is focused on all families without taking into account income.
