The government has confirmed that for this 2025, the Vital minimum income amount (IMV) will increase 9%. In this way, for this year the amount will be located between 658.81 euros and 1,739.27 euros per month depending on income and the coexistence unit. Now, this does not mean that it is the amount to be charged, since the IMV is an income that completes income.
The minimum vital income is a benefit that aims to guarantee a minimum income level of both the people who live alone and to the units of coexistence. This minimum income is important to take it into account, since Social Security will assign a amount, but that does not mean that we should collect. What is charged is the difference between the beneficiary’s income and, if any, the coexistence unit, and the amount assigned by Social Security.
Vital minimum income amounts in 2025
For this 2025, the Minimum amount will be 658.81 euros per month For an adult person living alone, which is equivalent to 7,905.72 euros per year. This implies an increase of 54.6 euros per month or 655.2 euros per year compared to the amounts of 2024. For its part, the Maximum amount will be set at 1,739.27 euros per month or 20,871.24 euros per year, allocated to the single -parent coexistence units or those with members with disabilities and larger.

In the case of single -parent coexistence units (when an adult has the exclusive guardian and custody of one or more minors), the amount will increase by 22 %. This complement will also apply when one of the parents has great disability, absolute permanent disability or degree 3 of dependence, when the beneficiary is a victim of gender violence or when in the coexistence unit there is a person with a degree of disability of 65 % or higher.
What day is the minimum vital income charged?
Social Security explains on its website that the minimum vital income is always entered by expired between days 1 and 4 of each month. Specifically, the rule says that the payment will be made on the first business day of the month in which the payment is made (to expired month) and always before the fourth natural day of the same. Even so, and thanks to the unique centralized account of social security, banks usually advance the income and pay the IMV amount the last day of each month.
