Santiago Menchero, forced to retire, take away 24% of the pension with 47 years quoted: “We are punished for a life with a life imprisonment”

More than 860,000 Spanish retirees with long contribution races suffer a permanent penalty in their pensions despite having quoted 40 years or more. It is a situation that has been denouncing ‘ASJUBI40’ and that is perfectly understood with the case of Santiago Mencho, one of its spokesmen, which exposes its personal case to fight for the elimination of the reducing coefficients to those that are submitted when they retire in advance after a lifetime of work.

Merchero was forced to retire at 61. He had no choice. He was fired and, after being between 8 and 10 months in unemployment, he was forced to benefit from his early retire What you charged unemployment, forced you to retire. ”

Social security will remove up to 30% of the retirement pension from all workers who decide to retire in advance, even if you are over 38 years quoted

Javier Rivas (63) began working with 10 years and removes 13% of the pension with 47 years quoted: “What have I done wrong to deserve this? Work?”

Although he was forced to retire at the age of 61, and was 47 years old (more than required), he was penalized with a 24% cut in the amount of the pension. A cut that Merchero, like thousands of retirees, sees totally unfair. And so he exposed it in ‘The critical look’ of Telecinco: “For example, if we compare ourselves with passive classes, which can be retired with 60 years and 35 years quoted.”

“We have quoted enough years so that we are not punished for a lifetime with a life imprisonment”

Santiago Menchero, in the aforementioned program, defended that they have “nothing against” with passive classes or other special situations that allow to retire in advance without cutting in the pension, but what seems bad to them “is that we, after having quoted for many years, with long careers and having started with 14 years to work, penalize us in the pension”, claiming that this penalty can even reach 40%.

“Then, also compared to other people who, with 26 years, have 76% of their pension, with 47 I stayed exactly the same,” he denounced. “We see our pension trimmed unjustly and also a penalty for a lifetime. We are asking that this penalty gets up when the regulatory age is reached, because we have quoted enough years so that we are not punished for a lifetime with a life imprisonment,” he denounced on this situation.

The association believes that it is “completely unfair” and, therefore, they have contacted all the spokesmen of the Toledo Pact. Menchoo also announced that they have filed a lawsuit to Europe and, soon, they will expose their case in Brussels.
