Entrepreneurs can now look around their home regions for available forms of support for their businesses. These take the form of both subsidies and preferential loans. It is worth knowing about them as early as possible.
For entrepreneurs from the Lublin province
The funds will be distributed among 30 companies, including from EU funds, which are managed by the Lublin province marshal. Entrepreneurs can use the grants to finance participation in fairs and other presentations abroad. The funding is to help companies increase the volume of exports of goods from the region. The EU grant amounted to over PLN 5.6 million, but the total amount to be distributed is PLN 14 million.
For entrepreneurs from the Podkarpackie Voivodeship
PLN 780 million from the EU will be allocated to the so-called sustainable development of Podkarpacie. Within the pool, PLN 370 million in the form of preferential loans will go to companies for various investment projects, including improving energy efficiency, e.g. for the construction of energy storage facilities and other renewable energy sources.
The idea is to improve the competitiveness of entrepreneurs on the market. Preferential loans are to be based not only on lower interest rates than the market rate, but also on the lack of margins and fees for submitting a loan application. The procedure for granting them is also to be simpler. First of all, entrepreneurs will not be required to present a credit history (which they often cannot yet present). The loans are to be available only in the second half of this year, but it is worth taking an interest in them now.
Subsidies in Podkarpacie for promotion
The Podkarpackie Province also received a grant from the EU for a project called “Support for SMEs in entering foreign markets”. Its aim is to “strengthen the global presence of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises from the area of smart specializations of the Podkarpackie Province (aviation and space science, quality of life, automotive and information and telecommunications)”.
Support in the form of subsidies for smaller entrepreneurs is to cover part of the costs incurred by them in participating in economic events organized outside Poland. Entrepreneurs will be able to refinance the organization of economic missions, study visits and business meetings of an international nature, as well as participation in conferences, forums, seminars, international fairs and other activities strengthening the image of their companies. This applies to both activities abroad and in Poland. The pool of money allocated for this amounts to a total of over PLN 23 million.
