Despite the high housing prices, the latest provisional data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) on the transfers of Property Rights for October 2024, reflect that the Spanish real estate market maintains its upward trend. And according to the INE, during this month of October, a total of 231,209 properties were registered in the Property Registry, of which 69,418 were homes, 51.3% more than in October 2023.
Although Used homes are the ones that lead the records (they are 76.6% of them)the rebound in new housing compared to the same month of the previous year is notable, and the annual increase is 83.4%, standing at 16,224 registered transactions, compared to 53,194 second-hand housing transfers.

Regarding the sales of homes registered by autonomous communitiesAndalusia leads the market with 13,549 operations during the month of October, representing a considerable part of the national total. The Valencian Community follows closely, with 10,984 registered sales.
For its part, the Community of Madrid is the third region with the highest number of operations, reaching 8,290 sales.
