The average price of electricity in Spain for this Thursday, August 14, 2025, will be 96.70 euros per megavatio hour (€/MWh). In this way, in full ‘heat wave’ and before the ‘Operation Bridge of August’, the electric rate lowly lows 4.45%, about € 4.50/MWh, if we compare it with the price recorded on Wednesday, set at the € 101.20/MWh, according to the data published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).

Compared to a year ago, the light is now more expensive, specifically 8.59 %, about 7.65 euros, since that day the so -called ‘pool’ had a price of € 89.05/MWh. Now we must clarify that this is the price at which electricity is paid in Spain in the wholesale market (‘pool’), which is not the same as consumers with regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed in the free market, which is published at the last hour of the day by Red Electric.
