The average price of electricity in Spain for this Wednesday, August 27, 2025, will be 52.61 euros/MWh (euros the megawatt hour). In this way and if we compare it with the price registered this Friday, which places in ‘Pool’ in the 45.75 euros, rises by 14.99%, about 6.86 euros according to the data published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
In comparison with a year ago, light is 54.5% cheaper, since that day had a price of 115.57 euros. Now, this price that affects consumers with regulated PVPC or indexed rate in the free market is not the definitive one, since it remains to be applied tolls and other taxes, which facilitates the electricity network at the last hour of the day.

When is light cheaper this Saturday, August 30?
The cheapest hours of light will be given in the afternoon, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., when the cost will be -0.01 euros/MWh, although it does not mean that it is free. After this, the following best hours will be between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. where the price will not exceed 0.65 euros. Therefore, the stripes located in the central hours of the day will be the best to put appliances such as the washing machine, the dishwasher or the oven.
What time is electricity more on Saturday?
On the other hand, the most expensive time of electricity will be between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when the price will reach 107.12 euros/MWh. Thus, this will be the worst hour, which as usual, coincides with the sunset.
Light price for hours, Saturday, August 30
This Saturday a strong difference between the central hours of the day and the night strip will be observed. During noon, especially from 12:00 to 17:00, prices will be practically null or even negative, but this will be more expensive, starting at 9:00 p.m. and 23:00 hours, the highest values of the day will be reached, exceeding € 100/MWh, with a maximum of € 107.12/MWh.
