The average price of light for this Monday, September 1, 2025, is 30.63 euros per megavatio hour (MW/h) for consumers with regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to the data of the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE). Compared to Sunday average, it is a new drop, this time of 6.67 euros or 17.88%, since on August 31 the average rate was 37.30 euros per MWh.
If compared to the same date last year, the difference is even lower, since the light was paid at 99.64 euros/MWh, so it is now 69.27% cheaper. The second most expensive strip is from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with € 92.8/MWh, followed by 23:00 to 24:00 hours, when the cost reaches € 80/MWh. Consequently, the highest expense is concentrated during the night, especially from 8:00 p.m.
