The average price of electricity for this Thursday, October 23, 2025, will be 23.59 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) in the wholesale market, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). If we take into account that this Wednesday’s rate, which was 27.51 euros/MWh, we can see how the electricity bill drops again by 14.23%, about 3.92 euros.
This amount affects consumers covered by the regulated rate (PVPC) or with an indexed rate in the free market, which does not include tolls, charges or other applicable taxes. The final price will be given by Red Eléctrica at the end of the day.

When is electricity cheaper this Thursday?
The cheapest hour of electricity will be in the afternoon, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a price of -0.01 euros/MWh (each time slot). In this section, the cost of electricity will be practically zero, so it will be the best time to concentrate consumption and save on the bill. Next, very low prices will also be recorded between 03:00 and 05:00, with 0 euros/MWh, and from 12:00 to 13:00, with 0.18 euros/MWh.
When is electricity most expensive?
The maximum price of electricity will be reached between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., when the megawatt hour will reach 116.54 euros. After this period, the most expensive hours will be between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (€102.81/MWh) and 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (€112.97/MWh). High prices are also recorded late in the day, between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m., with €76.99/MWh.
