The average price of electricity for this Sunday, November 23, 2025 is 39.88 euros per megawatt hour (euros/MWh) in the wholesale market. In this way, electricity has dropped by 48.13% compared to the cost marked this Saturday which was 59.07 euros/MWh according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This translates to the pocketbook in that you will have to pay 19.19 euros less on average.

It must be taken into account that this is the wholesale market price and that the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC) will be announced late in the afternoon, published by Red Eléctrica de España.

When is electricity cheaper?

The cheapest hour of electricity will be between 12:00 and 15:00 when it will cost 0 euros. And although this will be the best time to use electricity, there are other periods that should be taken advantage of, which are those from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. when electricity will be paid at 0.28 and 0.03 euros respectively.

When is electricity most expensive?

On the contrary, the most expensive price for electricity will arrive from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. when it will be worth 79.15 euros/MWh. It is also good to avoid other times of the day such as the one from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. which will be paid at 73.51 euros and from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a price of 72.65 euros.

Therefore, it is good to plan to use the most consumed appliances during economic hours, avoiding the period in which electricity costs increase.
