In this way, electricity is experiencing its fourth consecutive day of declines, registering a drop of 11.69%, which is equivalent to about 6.01 euros less compared to the price marked this Sunday, which stood at 51.44 euros.
If we go back one year, to January 6, 2024, electricity had a cost of 43.97 euros/MWh, which represents that, for the first time in several weeks, the current price is lower than a year ago. Specifically, this is 3.32% less, which translates into an approximate saving of 1.54 euros for consumers. In this way, they will be able to face Three Kings Day with a little more economic relief.
When is electricity cheaper today?
The cheaper hours of light will take place at dawn, between 3:00 and 5:00 hourswhen it will be paid to 3.52 euros/MWh. Thus, the vast majority of economic hours will be at dawn, which will make it difficult to save. Within daytime, the best hours will be between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. where the megawatt hour will be paid at 14 euros.
When is electricity most expensive?
