The average price of electricity for this Thursday, November 6, 2025 rises to an average of 166.14 euros/MWh (euros per megawatt hour) for consumers who have a regulated or indexed rate in the free market, according to data published by Red Eléctrica. When compared to the price registered this Wednesday, November 5this was 123.87 euros/MWh so electricity will be 34.12% more expensive.
This cost is known as the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC) so it changes with respect to the price of electricity published at midday by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), which reflects the electricity cost in the wholesale market. This is usually lower because it does not include taxes or tolls, which do appear in the PVPC.

When is electricity cheaper this Thursday?
Electricity is cheaper this Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 when it will be paid at 70.44 euros/MWh. There are other times of the day when it is advisable to turn on the most expensive appliances to save on the bill. These are the ones that go from 3:00 to 4:00 and from 5:00 to 6:00 when it will cost 75.57 and 78.98 euros respectively.
During daytime, the cheapest time slot is the one from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. when you will pay 81.41 euros/MWh.
When is electricity most expensive?
The maximum price of electricity will be recorded in the section from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. when the amount reaches the peak of 281.30 euros/MWh. You should also avoid the periods from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. when you will pay 262.12 and 271.46 euros.
