This represents a drop of 11.66%, which is equivalent to a saving of 11.52 euros compared to the price recorded this Wednesday, which stood at 98.92 euros/MWh.

A year ago, on January 9, 2024, the price of electricity was 113.83 euros/MWh, which marks, for the first time in weeks, a lower current cost than a year ago. This decrease represents a variation of 23.21%, which, in economic terms, means a reduction of 26.43 euros in consumers’ pockets.

When is electricity cheaper today, Thursday?

The cheapest hour It will be early morning, between 04:00 and 05:00 hourswhen electricity will have a price of 13.01 euros/MWh. In general, the cheapest hours will be concentrated during the early morning hours. During daylight hours, the cheapest time slot will be between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a price of 79.05 euros/MWh.

When is electricity most expensive?

The most expensive hour will be recorded between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.with a price of 141.27 euros/MWh. The next most expensive period will be between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., where the price will reach 135.73 euros/MWh.
