This note presents the industry observatory Fintech Non -banking in Spain, experimental statistics developed to monitor the evolution of this sector constantly growing. The observatory, updated since 2020, is prepared on the basis of a company census Fintechin which public and private sources are combined to classify and analyze the entities according to their activity, geographical distribution and type of vertical in which they are. In addition, the Observatory presents information in terms of the national accounting of this set of companies, broken down between financial and non -financial institutions, calculated from their financial information.
This note also includes a comparative analysis of the evolution of the sector between 2018 and 2023, which highlights a 50 % increase in the number of entities for which there are financial statements, a significant increase in assets and employment, and the consolidation of vertical business models such as “cryptoactive and Blockchain».
