Netflix has applied a new price increase in Spain that affects all its rates. The change is already active and will be reflected in the next user bill, in addition to being applied now to new customers, while the company continues to increase its number of global subscribers, which exceeds 325 million.
The increase responds to the company’s usual strategy of increasing prices progressively while demand remains stable. According to the company, the adjustment is due to increased costs and the need to continue investing in content and technology.
In recent years, Netflix has also introduced changes such as advertising-supported plans or limiting shared accounts, with the aim of increasing revenue per user. But this trend is not exclusive to Netflix. Other platforms streaming They are implementing similar measures, making access to digital entertainment increasingly expensive for consumers.
This is how the new prices of all Netflix plans look like
According to the prices already visible on its website, the standard plan with ads, the cheapest option, costs 8.99 euros per month, two euros more, which represents close to a 30% increase. The standard plan without advertising goes up to 14.99 euros, and the premium plan, which includes 4K quality, HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, reaches 21.99 euros per month. These are similar increases, in percentage terms, to those applied in October 2024.
