Primark, the ‘low cost’ fashion store that sweeps Spain has announced the opening of a new establishment at the Jaén Plaza shopping center. This will mean an impulse for the economy of the province since the brand is one of the favorites of young people and also, this opening is within a series of projects that Primark will finance with 100 million euros, as announced in 2022. The store, which will open its doors on September 5, will be the 14th in Andalusia and 67 in Spain.
With more than 2,500 square meters of surface on a single plant, you will have self -flap and traditional boxes, attended by workers. It has been the firm who has announced this opening, which will create new jobs although the number has not been completed. But this information does have the City Council, which has revealed to Europa Press which is estimated to be about 100 workers.
Esther de las Heras, who is Chief of Sales of Primark Iberia has recognized that this opening in Jaén is the response to a “long but very satisfactory path, thanks to the huge and tireless work of the entire Primark team.”
Investment of 100 million euros
Jaén’s new store is part of the investment of 100 million euros announced by Primark in November 2022, where plans were contemplated to open new establishments.
At the moment, 7 of the 8 stores that were inside this amount have been open and with the opening of this in Jaén Plaza, the investment plan is finished. For his part, the mayor of Jaén, Julio Millán, has been with the technicians of the Urban Planning area in the works of the store.
There he has assured that by the Consistory “the relevant procedures from the area of urban planning have already been made to ensure that everything is in order for the opening license and practically all the finished actions are.
