The average price of light for this Wednesday, September 3, 2025, will be 55.10 euros per megavatio hour (MW/h) within the wholesale market. Thus, the electric rate drops 9.82%, about 6.00 euros if we compare it with the ‘pool’ recorded on Tuesday, which is 61.10 euros/MWH, according to the data of the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
In the case of comparing it in annual terms, we can say that now electricity is 49.19% cheaper, since that day had a price of 108.44 euros. It must be remembered that this is only the price within the wholesale market, which mainly affects the consumers hosted by the regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed within the free market to which it needs to add tolls, charges and taxes, so the final price will be announced at the last minute of the day.

What time is light cheaper this Wednesday, September 3?
The cheapest time of light will occur in the afternoon and in two sections, which will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., when the price will mark −02 €/MWh. In addition, the market will register six hours in negative between 11:00 and 17:00, and another two hours to € 0.00/MWh (10: 00–11: 00 and 17: 00–18: 00). That is, the cheapest sections are concentrated in the morning and noon.
When is electricity more expensive?
The maximum electricity price will be reached between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with € 133.45/MWh. The most expensive hours are concentrated late in the afternoon and at night, with peaks also between 22:00 and 23:00 (€ 107.43/MWh) and 00:00 to 01:00 (€ 105.23/MWh). That is, the light will rise when sunlight begins to disappear.
