The average price of electricity in Spain for this Tuesday, August 26, 2025, will be 87.75 euros/MWh (euros the megavatio hour). Thus, the electric rate falls again and does it 4.93%, about 4.55 euros, if we compare it with the price recorded on Monday, which we remember is 92.30 euros/MWH, according to the data published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
If we compare it with the registered price a year ago, we can say that we now have a cheaper light, to be exact 6.84% economical, since that day, the ‘pool’ marked 94.19 euros. This price that affects consumers with regulated PVPC rate (voluntary price for the small consumer) or indexed in the free market is not the definitive one, since it remains to be applied taxes and tolls, this fact being given by Red Electrica at the last minute of the day.

The cheapest time of light will occur in the afternoon, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., when the cost will be only 26.28 euros/MWh. After this, the following best hours will be between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and from 12:00 to 13:00, with a price of 38.05 and 41.25 euros/MWh respectively. Thus, these will be the best to concentrate the consumption of appliances such as washing machines, dishwasher or plates and thus reduce the electrical invoice.
