The average price of electricity in Spain for this Tuesday, August 19, 2025, will be 77.72 euros/MWh (euros the megavatio hour). In this way, and after leaving behind the ‘heat wave’, the second day of the week begins with a drop of 19.61 %, about 18.96 euros less, if we compare it with the price recorded on Monday, set at the € 96.68/MWh, according to the data published by the Iberian energy market operator (OMIE).
Compared to a year ago, we can say that now electricity is 17.05 % cheaper, since that day known as ‘pool’ had a price of 93.72 euros. This decrease will affect consumers with regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed in the free market, although it is not the final price, since the tolls and taxes that Red Electrico will publish will publish will be missing at the last minute of the day.

Thus, these will be the best to concentrate the consumption of appliances such as washing machines, dishwasher or plates and thus reduce the electrical invoice.
