Light price, Thursday, August 7, for hours: when is cheaper and more expensive in the day

The average price of light for this Thursday, August 7, 2025, within the wholesale market, will be 84.06 euros per megavatio hour (MWh). With this new increase, the electricity receipt is more expensive 7.40%, about 5.79 euros, since this Wednesday it was cost 78.27 euros.

If we wanted to compare it with a year ago, now the electric rate is 13.74% cheaper, since that day the ‘pool’ 97.43 euros cost us. This price will affect consumers with regulated rate (PVPC) or indexed within the free market, but taking into account that it is the final price, since it needs to include tolls and other concepts. This data will be announced by Red Eléctrica at the last minute of the day.

The cheapest time of the light this Thursday will be late in the morning between 11:00 and 1:00 p.m., with a price of 26.39 euros/MWh for each sections. After these, the following cheaper hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., also with 26.39 euros/MWh, and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 27.20 euros/MWh.

When is electricity more face this Thursday?

The most expensive section of the day will be between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with a maximum price of 145.01 euros/MWh. Other hours to avoid will be at the last minute of the day, where from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. will be priced at 125.16 euros and from 23:00 to 24:00 hours with 110 euros.
