Laura Allué has added 44 years of contributions to Social Security, which should give her the right to collect the maximum pension, of almost 3,000 euros. But the reality is different, and that is that at 59 years old she was fired from work, so she had to request “involuntary” early retirement because “at 59 or 61 years old it is practically impossible to get a job.”

In the TV3 program ‘Tot es mou’ he explained that “They penalize me with 27% of my pensionI would receive a pension close to the maximum, which is approximately 3,000 euros, it did not reach that figure but it was close. Now I have left to live, not comfortably… far from it. I feel cheated.” Like her, other members of this association have already reported similar situations, such as Paco Crespo, forced to retire early at age 62.

The presenter was interested in how much pension this woman was receiving, and asked her if it was more than 2,000 euros gross. “Not at all, I have contributed for 44 years, a complete working life, working from Monday to Saturday between 8 and 9 hours a day.”

“They are punishing these retirees, but they must continue the fight”

A lawyer who was present at the program, Marta Barreda, pointed out that “these people are being punished but they can all be told to continue the fight so that they can get the support of the political parties and find greater equity. You cannot live in these conditions, when the life expectancy they have left is very long.”

Then, he made a recommendation to these seniors, and that is that they get 100% of their retirement. According to Barreda, “this measure allows the avoidance of penalties that would affect the pension for the rest of the worker’s life.”
