The average electricity price in Spain for this Sunday, February 15, 2026, will be set at 1.55 euros per megawatt hour (€/MWh), according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This represents, in addition to marking a new annual minimum, a drop of 27.05% (0.58 euros less) with respect to the electricity rate registered this Saturday, which stood at 2.13 euros/MWh.

When is electricity most expensive this Sunday?

The highest peak is between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., with a price of 12.50 euros/MWh. From there, it is also worth taking into account the section from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (11.76 euros/MWh) and from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (10.70 euros/MWh), which are the least favorable hours of the day. That is to say, the most “expensive” hours are concentrated between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., although with quite moderate values.

When is electricity cheaper?

The cheapest hour is from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a price of -2.41 euros/MWh (be careful, this does not mean that it is free, remember that neither taxes nor tolls are applied). Also very close are the hours from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (-2.20 euros/MWh) and the block from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. (-2.10 euros/MWh).

And if you look at the entire day, there is a striking fact which is that during the early hours there are also several hours at 0.00 euros/MWh, especially between 04:00 and 06:00.
