Hiring a new employee represents a significant financial effort for any business, especially for the self-employed and small businesses. To alleviate this burden, the Community of Madrid has confirmed that it maintains its employment promotion program active in 2026, offering direct aid of 5,500 euros for each young person under 30 years of age who joins the workforce.
Essential: be enrolled in Youth Guarantee
Although the regulations detail several conditions, there is a requirement that the worker must meet before the contract is formalized: he must be registered as a job seeker and, above all, appear in the National Youth Guarantee System. Without this prior step, the company will not be eligible for the 5,500 euro subsidy.
The aid of up to 2,700 euros that students of FP, Baccalaureate and other courses who enroll in the 2026/2027 academic year may receive

The Alicante City Council confirms aid of up to 4,800 euros per beneficiary to pay the rent
The program of the administration led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso is flexible and covers different work modalities, as long as the workday is full-time or, at least, 75%:
- Permanent contracts: For those seeking long-term stability.
- Training contracts for professional practice: Ideal for recent graduates.
- Alternation training contracts: To combine work and learning.
The aid can go up to 7,500 euros with these complements
The base amount of 5,500 euros is not the limit. The Community of Madrid rewards the hiring of certain profiles with “extras” that are added to the initial check:
- +€500 if the hire is a woman.
- +€500 if the young person has children or dependent relatives in their care.
- +€1,000 in cases of large or single-parent families.
- +€2,000 if the applicant is a self-employed person hiring their first employee.
And this aid is designed for Madrid’s productive fabric, including the self-employed, SMEs, non-profit entities and civil societies. The only administrative requirement for the company is to be up to date with payments with the Treasury and Social Security.
The process is 100% digital: the application is made through the electronic headquarters of the Community of Madrid. Best of all, the term is permanently open throughout 2026, as long as there is credit available in the regional budget.
With this measure, Madrid seeks to reduce the unemployment rate among those under 30 years of age and make it easier for companies to lose the “fear” of hiring profiles with less experience. By covering an important part of the salary cost of the first year, the incentive allows young talent to enter the labor market with quality and stable contracts from day one.
