The average price of electricity for this Wednesday, November 26, 2025, is 69.21 euros per megawatt hour (MW/h). If we compare it with the average price recorded this Tuesday, the electricity rate shoots up by 43.68% (21.04 euros), since on Tuesday, the electricity rate was set at 48.17 euros/MWh.

When is electricity cheaper this Wednesday, November 26?

The cheapest hour of electricity will be in the afternoon, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with a price of only 3.56 euros/MWh. After this, they are followed by 12:00 to 13:00, with a price of 3.58 euros and then from 14:00 and 15:00 at 4.05 euros.

When is electricity most expensive?

The highest price of the day will be reached between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., when the electricity will rise to 142.01 euros/MWh. It will be followed by the sections from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (€124.83/MWh) and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (€120.43/MWh), which will also register very high amounts. During those peak hours, it is advisable to avoid the use of large appliances to reduce the cost on the bill.

According to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator for this Tuesday, the price of electricity will fluctuate, with the best times being the time slots between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. On the contrary, we must avoid the sections located between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., as shown in the following graph.

Evolution of the price of electricity

Electricity remains cheaper than in November last year. So far this month, the average wholesale market price is 55.32 euros per megawatt hour, well below the 100.49 euros that were registered in the same period of 2024.

Although the year-on-year decline continues, it does so with somewhat less intensity than in previous days. On November 26, 2024, the average price was 143.25 euros per MWh, that is, 74.04 euros less than this year’s reference.
